This year ISA Tianhe held four separate Sports days that allowed the pupils an opportunity to compete against pupils from different houses. Both the Primary Sports and Early years sports day had perfect weather.
今年爱莎天河学校运动会分为了四个场次，让不同学院的学生都有充分的机会参与竞赛活动，体验运动的乐趣。运动会期间秋高气爽，风和日丽。
Early Years 幼儿园
EY1 & EY2 幼儿园小小班 & 小班
The focus for EY 1 and 2 pupils was on trying one’s best and having fun. The pupils competed in an obstacle course, sprints, racket and beanbag relay, hamster wheel challenge and throwing a bean bag into hoops. The events took place on the field and many of the parents were there to support their children and our amazing homeroom teachers were there to encourage the pupils to do their very best. The events were managed by our Junior Sports leaders who constantly cajoled the pupils to have a go and ensured that they performed the activities safely. I was so pleased to see how much fun the pupils had and the effort they put in. The pupils had a great morning of activities and were a joy to watch.
幼儿园小小班和小班的孩子们重在参与，一同享受运动的乐趣。他们参加了障碍赛、短跑、球拍和豆袋接力、仓鼠轮挑战赛和豆袋投篮比赛。家长们纷纷来到操场和老师们一同鼓励孩子全力以赴。本次运动会的活动由高年级的学生们主导，他们耐心地讲解规则并鼓励幼儿园的孩子们勇往直前，同时确保他们安全地完成每一个项目。我们都被孩子们奋勇拼搏的精神所感染。孩子们在欢笑声中度过了愉快的时光。
EY3 & EY4 幼儿园中班 & 大班
For the EY3 and 4 the focus was on teamwork, excellence, and participation. Pupils had an opportunity to take part in some challenging and fun events and competed against pupils from different houses. The events were once again organized and managed by our amazing students from Year 5 who showed excellent communication skills and patience towards the younger pupils. The events were the obstacle race, sprint, throwing the bean bag in the hoop, crossing the river, three forties, sack race, and the all-time classic egg and spoon. In all these races pupils competed with enthusiasm and a smile on their face. The pupils had a fun morning and left knowing that they had tried their very hardest.
在幼儿园中班和大班的运动会中，团队合作、追求卓越和积极参与是重点。这些活动旨在给学生们提供一系列具有挑战性和趣味性的项目，让不同年级的学生们一起参与竞争。活动由五年级学生主导，他们在活动中展现了出色的沟通技巧和对低年级学生的耐心。比赛项目包括障碍赛跑、短跑、投豆袋、过河、两人三足、建高塔、麻袋赛跑以及勺子传蛋。学生们在比赛中表现得热情高涨，脸上洋溢着欢快的笑容。他们充满活力地参与了上午的运动会，展现出了团队合作和积极参与的精神。
Primary 小学
In our Primary Sports day, it was decided that Year 1 and 2 pupils competed in seven age-appropriate events that were designed to encourage teamwork, communication, excellence, and determination. Year 3,4 and 5 students experienced 6 events and had an opportunity to take part in an invitational 300m race. The focus of the day was to show excellence and to display Olympic values whilst competing. Pupils were awarded place positions in 3 of the events. Olympic values stickers were given that went towards the house totals and contributed to the top three boys’ and girls’ performers in each class receiving medals. The morning finished with a friendly but competitive tug of war for the pupils. The parents also rose to the occasion and took part in tug of war with the teachers and a three-legged race.

All students are to be commended for their hard work and persistence this year and a big thank you from the PE dept goes to all the pupils for making it a brilliant sports day across the key stages.
