ISA Tianhe welcomed new families for the 2025-2026 academic year on August 28th. It aimed to help every child and parent get a feel for the campus atmosphere and familiarize themselves with the learning environment in advance, laying a solid foundation for their upcoming IB educational journey.
8月28日，爱莎天河校园迎来了2025-2026学年的新生家庭迎新日。这是一次充满温度的社区融入仪式，旨在帮助每一位孩子与家长提前感受校园氛围、熟悉学习环境，为他们即将开启的IB国际教育之旅奠定坚实的基础。
The school designed a series of interactive experiences for new families, friendly guides, the welcome speech for the new semester, meetings with homeroom teachers, one-stop consultation booths, and a surprise house sorting ceremony. Every segment was filled with educational sincerity and community inclusiveness, helping children ease their nerves, giving parents peace of mind, and allowing their stories with ISA Tianhe to begin smoothly.

In the welcome speech, Ms. Beth Jones, the Head of School, explained the school’s educational philosophy and emphasized the importance of home-school collaboration. The school also provided new families with a detailed introduction to the curriculum, giving the children a clear and positive first impression of campus life.

New families entered the classroom for the first time after the presentation, and the homeroom teachers introduced the curriculum and daily arrangements to parents in detail, answering any questions they might have. The children had the opportunity to meet their teachers and classmates in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.
宣讲会结束后，学生与家长共同走进教室，与老师们进行了面对面的深入交流。主班老师为家长们详细介绍了课程体系与每日作息安排，耐心解答了新生家庭的各类疑问，有效缓解了他们的顾虑。孩子们亦在轻松愉悦的氛围中，初步结识了新老师与新同学，顺利迈出了融入校园生活的第一步。
Counseling Booths

In addition to the speech and meetings, the school also set up several counselling booths to provide new families with comprehensive information services on school life. These booths, covering co-curriculum, school uniform, school bus, school nurse, finance, I.T. system registration, and other aspects, were staffed by professionals who patiently and carefully answered parents’ questions, giving new families a more comprehensive understanding of campus life.

A Magical Sorting Adventure
魔法分院奇遇记
ISA Tianhe implements the house system to enhance communication within the community. The school has four houses. They are Panda House, Tiger House, Leopard House and Dragon House, which resonates with the qualities and values of inclusiveness, courage, wisdom and confidence. A special house sorting ceremony was held for each new student. The EY & PY Assistant Principals and Pastoral Care Coordinator dressed as magicians and used a fun, magical activity to assign each child to their house. This was more than just a simple activity, it was the beginning of their journey to find where they belong. Through fun and warm interactions, the children, full of excitement and curiosity, started to feel connected to the houses that will be part of their growth.
爱莎天河结合学校多元的校园特色实施学院制以增进社区交流，设立了四大学院，分别是熊猫学院、老虎学院、猎豹学院和龙学院，呼应包容、勇气、智慧和自信等品质和价值观。在迎新日的欢声笑语中，学校为每一位新生精心准备了一场别开生面的“学院分院仪式”。幼儿园和小学助理校长以及人文关怀协调员化身引导未来的“魔法师”，用充满惊喜与趣味的方式，为每个孩子点亮属于他们的学院之光。这不仅是一个简单的分配环节，更是一次心灵的归属之旅。在奇妙而温馨的互动中，孩子们眼中闪烁着期待与好奇，悄然间与即将陪伴他们成长的学院建立了最初的情感联结。

On this day, the children officially joined the warm and diverse community of ISA Tianhe. Here, they will be surrounded by love and care, encouraged to explore the world, do their best and keep improving, and learn to use their kindness and skills to make the world a better place.
在这一天，孩子们正式加入了爱莎天河这个温暖而多元的社区。在这里，他们将被爱和关怀包围，在鼓励中探索世界的奇妙，在不断超越自我的过程中追求卓越，并学会以善意之心与能卓越才能为世界带来积极的改变。
The Orientation Day built a strong bridge between home and school. Through various interactive activities, parents gained a deeper understanding of the school’s educational philosophy and culture, while the children felt excited about their new life at school. Moving forward, ISA Tianhe remains committed to its mission: Nurture leading talents and pioneers for the future. We will continue to provide support for every student’s growth.
